KESWICK HALL & CLUB
JOB POSTINGS

POSITIONS ARE FILLED ACCORDING TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB AND QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT.   ALL POSITIONS ARE FULL-TIME UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.  SCHEDULES WILL INCLUDE WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. 

HALL POSITIONS

On-call, Seasonal and Full-time Food Servers
Candidates must be friendly, articulate, well-groomed, have good communication and organizational skills, and have a willingness to learn.  Must be proficient in English.  Previous fine dining experience strongly preferred.

PBX/Front Desk Receptionist Full-time and Part-time
Responsible for answering the switchboard in a timely and courteous manner and taking accurate phone messages.  Candidate will provide efficient and effective telephone and message service for in-house and in-coming guests and for all internal departments as necessary. Must have a pleasant attitude, excellent phone demeanor and work well under pressure. Customer service experience preferred. Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills required.

Porter Part-time
Candidate will provide a positive first and last impression to guests as they arrive and depart the hotel by assisting with luggage, explaining in-room amenities and promoting all hotel facilities: restaurants, pools, recreational activities as well as local places of interest.  Candidate must be friendly, articulate, well-groomed, have good communication and organizational skills with a willingness to learn.  Candidates must possess strong customer relations skills, a positive attitude, and be willing to work in a team atmosphere.

Night Porter
Position is responsible for closing sales and hotel systems on a daily basis, late night guest service requests and minor maintenance repairs.  Candidate must have the ability to learn hotel emergency procedures and have general maintenance experience.  Must possess strong communication skills, have a pleasant phone voice, excellent customer service skills and have the ability to work under minimal supervision. 

Assistant Housekeeping Manager
Keswick Hall is currently seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager with the ability to provide exceptional guest services. Qualified candidate will be responsible for inspections of rooms, coordinating daily activities of the department’s staff, and assisting with inventory and ordering of supplies. Must be friendly, articulate, have great attention to detail, good communication and organizational skills, plus a willingness to learn more. Must be self-motivated, have meticulous attention to detail and able to lift up to 25 pounds. Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years housekeeping supervisory experience. Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Housekeeper Part-time
Must have the ability to clean between 8 and 9 guest rooms per day.  Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.  Must maintain a clean, neat appearance and be comfortable interacting with guests.  Must be available to work flexible shifts to include weekends and holidays. 
Private Events Servers Seasonal and Part-time
Responsible for the ordering and delivery of guests’ food and beverages.  Candidates must be friendly, articulate, well-groomed, have good communication and organizational skills, and have a willingness to learn.  Must be proficient in English.  Previous find dining experience strongly preferred.

HALL & CLUB KITCHENS

Pastry Cook
Candidate must demonstrate basic knowledge of pastry and baking techniques.  Candidates must possess a positive attitude, and be willing to work in a team atmosphere. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Prep Cook
Candidate must demonstrate basic knowledge of culinary techniques. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, and be willing to work in a team atmosphere. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.    

Line Cook
Candidate must demonstrate proficient cooking skills.  Must understand how to coordinate the timing of orders and have a general knowledge of Ala Carte cooking techniques. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, and be willing to work in a team atmosphere.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Rounds Cook
Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of cooking skills.  Must understand how to coordinate the timing of orders and have a general knowledge of Ala Carte cooking techniques.  Must be able to work all stations; fish, meat, pantry and banquets. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, and be willing to work in a team atmosphere. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Dishwasher AM Shift
Candidate must be able to perform physical labor, lift 50 pounds and withstand temperatures of 105 degrees.  Must have the ability to follow the direction of the Executive Chef.

CLUB POSITIONS

Pavilion Attendant/Life Guard – Part-time
Position entails life guarding duties, as well as working in the snack bar and tennis shop.  Must have current certification for life guarding, CPR and First Aid.  Qualified applicant must provide outstanding service to all members and guests at all times.  This individual will be responsible for a number of different responsibilities from booking tennis courts, answering phones, life guarding, serving food, keeping the pool area clean and much more.  Applicants must be available to work on weekends and holidays. 

Golf Shop Assistant
Full and Part-Time
  Candidate must possess strong customer relations skills, a positive attitude, and be willing to work in a team atmosphere.  The individual will be responsible for all golf shop openings and closing duties, answering telephones, scheduling tee-times, point-of-sale operation, assisting Members and Guests with merchandise issues, keeping merchandise displays looking fresh and neat, providing the bet customer service to all customers at all times, and assisting the professional staff with any other assigned tasks.  Candidates must be available to work on weekends and possibly holidays.

Outside Golf Service Associate
Candidate must possess strong customer relations skills, a positive attitude, and be willing to work in a team atmosphere.  Outside Services Associates provide outstanding customer service to all customers.  Duties include greeting and assisting customers before and after their round, staging and detailing golf car fleet daily, cleaning member and guests golf clubs, upkeep and maintenance of practice areas, along with assisting golf shop staff with other duties and tasks as assigned.  Some lifting will be required.  (Approx 50 lbs).  Candidates must be available to work on weekends and possibly holidays.

GROUNDS/GMB POSITIONS

Golf Course Grounds Maintenance
Applicants should possess a love for gardening, plants, flowers and the outdoors and be comfortable interacting with guests.  Ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of plant management and familiarity with English Gardens.  Duties will include maintaining beds and plants as well as pruning throughout the estate.

Grounds Assistant Manager
Applicants should possess a love for gardening, plants, flowers and the outdoors and be comfortable interacting with guests.  Ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of plant management and familiarity with English Gardens.  Horticultural degree preferred.  Duties will include maintaining beds and plantings as well as pruning throughout the estate.
