Experience the destination that Thomas Jefferson called "Eden". Be sure to engage your delegates in more than just a meeting. When they depart from Keswick, it should be with more than your agenda in hand, but with a revitalization that can only be delivered by a teambuilding exercise or excursion.
Choose from our most requested options, or let us customize your group teambuilding experience with any of the exciting diversions in and around Charlottesville.
Champagne Putting Contest - In our opinion the best ice-breaker. Hosted on the Keswick Club putting green, our golf professions create a putting obstacle course to rival all others! The Club provides putters, scorecards, pencils, golf balls, and plenty of empathy. We encourage a combination of activity paired with a cocktail reception. We also recommend that the delegates remove shoes and socks - now that's a first! Finally, if the group is looking for some wonderful prizes, then look no further, the Keswick Golf Shop is more than happy to provide just the right gift.
Walking with the hounds - A unique opportunity to experience a time honored Virginian tradition! Unfortunately, even with the oldest Hunt Club in the State located just across the road, this is not an activity that is available year round. Inquire with the Keswick Events Planner.
Croquet - Now that sounds awfully British and somewhat stuffy, not the Keswick version! Our Sommelier and croquet extraordinaire, will host a Croquet Reception combined with Virginian wine tasting. If you do like the idea of the British invasion, then we partner with Easton Events who host croquet and badminton whilst we prepare the traditional English Pub meal for an evening affair.
Spa Party - Organize a pampering spa party through The Spa at Keswick. The event will consist of 4 mini spa stations hosted by the finest therapists in the area. In addition, enjoy spa cuisine and relaxing music.
Cost: 4 mini stations to accommodate 4 people within the hour - $40.00 per station, per person or $160.00 per person total. There may be an additional charge for spa menu special requests, depending on food choice.
Let's ask the Chef - Iron Chef, Cooking Classes, and Mystery Baskets requests can all be accommodated. These team building exercises are tailored to work within allowed time, budget and ultimate executive goal. Chat to your Keswick Event Planner about your vision and the chef will cook up the rest! His classes combine team interaction, unique challenges and most of all, great fun. Dinner usually follows, wonder who's team you will be on?
Private Historical Tours - What a great way for your group to learn more about American history. Climb aboard the group coach with dedicated tour guide; enjoy butler passed beverages en route to Monticello, Ash Lawn, Montpelier, University of Virginia, Civil War Battlegrounds and many other places of interest. We recommend an after hours tour of Monticello. Your group will get to see what most don't! Your Event Planner can assist with tailoring a tour to suite your groups specific needs/interests and time frame.
Orvis fly-fishing in surrounding streams and creeks - Tutorials offered to beginners, or just enjoy the company of a professional guide. Half day excursions available, lunch can be provided and if the catch of the day is a 'keeper', perhaps the Chef can prepare it for dinner!
Smaller groups are more suited to this activity.
Hot air ballooning - A little difficult for large groups, so suggest a tethered balloon during the cocktail reception. A popular option with tethered ballooning is our Virginian themed evening offering a traditional hors d'oeuvres followed by a finger licking BBQ!
Private Vineyard Tour and Wine Tasting - Keswick is surrounded by many award winning wineries. Tailored tours can be arranged to sample the area's finest wines alternatively learn the art of blending your own. Other activities include: - OWLS hosted programs, including cardboard regatta, GPS activities etc
- Antique Tour of Charlottesville (House of Jacobus, Christine Magne, Antiquaire and George)
- "Antiques Roadshow" - Group members can bring a small item to be evaluated by national antiques expert, Will Paulsen
- Private Tour of the University of Virginia Art Museum
- Heritage Theater performances by up and coming actors and actresses
- "Shenandoah Shakespeare" custom workshop and theatre experience
