Jefferson Vineyards |
When Thomas Jefferson and Italian Filippo Mazzei decided to establish a vineyard, they chose the land between Monticello and Ash-Lawn – the site of present day Jefferson Vineyards. With financial backing of many of our nation's Founding Fathers, Mazzei aspired to produce the wines we now bottle: Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Come sample our award-winning wines, tour the winery and browse the gift shop. Bring a picnic lunch (Brix Marketplace is just around the corner) and relax on the deck among the mountains, vineyards and horses.
